API keys
An API key lets software — your own scripts, an automation platform, a product you're building — do anything an admin can do in your organization, without signing in. Most business owners never need one; if a developer asks you for it, here's how.
Open Settings → API Keys and click Create.
Name your key so you recognise it later — "Production server", "Zapier".
Copy the key from the Save your key dialog. This is the only time the full key is shown. Store it somewhere safe and click Done.
Each key is listed with its name, its first few characters, and when it was last used. To disable one, open its menu and choose Revoke — anything using it stops working immediately.
An API key is as powerful as an admin account. Don't paste it into chats or documents, and revoke any key you're no longer sure about.
For what the API can do, see the API reference.
Signing out and other accounts
Your avatar menu also has Docs, Show me around (replays the first-agent tour), the theme switch, and Log out. To switch companies, use the department switcher at the top of the sidebar; see Departments.
Analytics and diagnostics
When product diagnostics are enabled for a deployment, they can associate setup, model-connection and prompt-submission activity with your signed-in account. These events exclude prompt text, responses and file contents. Optional session recordings mask text and inputs and block conversation, file and terminal surfaces. These diagnostics are separate from the organization Usage page.
